The selection of tolerance for the guide column and guide sleeve is incorrect, and the thermal expansion reserve is insufficient, resulting in 44% mold pulling, guide biting, and misalignment of the parting surface.
At room temperature, the unilateral gap is less than 0.010mm. After the mold is heated, the expansion of the guide column is greater than that of the guide sleeve, the gap is locked, and the mold is stuck.
At room temperature, the single-sided gap is greater than 0.032mm, resulting in loss of guiding and positioning accuracy, long-term production of misaligned parting surfaces, and excessive casting wall thickness.
The surface of the guide column and guide sleeve is not nitrided, and the high temperature friction coefficient makes it easy to bite and strain when lacking lubrication.
The interference fit of the guide sleeve press fit is too large, and the inner hole shrinks after being pressed into the template, resulting in a smaller actual working gap than the drawing.
The four guide columns have different axial degrees greater than 0.04mm, and the clamping force is biased, resulting in continuous wear of one side of the guide column and rapid failure of the guide.
Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), reverse pressure casting molds (CPC), differential pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, low-pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, gravity casting molds, motorcycle wheel hub casting molds, structural component casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds, and export molds mostly use ball bearings or self-lubricating talc guides to adapt to high temperature conditions. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery Design Standard: H13 nitriding guide column, with a single-sided gap of 0.010-0.032mm at room temperature; after the guide sleeve is press fit, the inner hole must be precisely drilled to eliminate press fit shrinkage. Graphite inlaid guide sleeve is suitable for long-term high-temperature and low oil working conditions, suitable for customers in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, reducing the frequency of manual lubrication. Check the surface wear and scratches of the guide column every 3000 cycles; If there are early signs of strain, polish and replenish high-temperature lubricating grease in a timely manner to avoid biting. Many low-priced molds directly use ordinary steel guide columns and copper sleeves, and the wear rate at high temperatures is 2.6 times that of the H13 nitride solution.

Answer: High temperature wear is fast, and the lifespan is much lower than the nitride+graphite guide sleeve solution.

The offset of the hot joint at the junction of the hub spoke thin ribs and the wheel core is a typical location detected by 40% X-ray shrinkage.
The rounded corner R at the root of the spoke is less than 3mm, the cross-section undergoes a sudden change, the solidification sequence is disordered, and the feeding channel of the riser is closed in advance.
The cooling insert is too far from the root of the spoke, and the hot spot cannot be prioritized to take away heat, resulting in an isolated solidification area without any additional shrinkage.
The cooling of multiple spokes is asymmetric, and the solidification time difference of each spoke exceeds 12 seconds, resulting in significant fluctuations in the yield rate.
The flow rate of the cooling water circuit is consistent, but the heat transfer area is uneven, with some areas having strong radiation cooling and some areas having weak radiation cooling, resulting in random drift of the hot spot.
Blindly increasing the cooling flow rate leads to rapid crust formation on the surface and closure of internal liquid phase channels, resulting in isolated shrinkage cavities inside.
Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), hub low-pressure casting molds, and hub differential pressure casting molds are the main types. Reverse pressure casting molds (CPC), gravity casting molds, motorcycle hub casting molds, structural component casting molds, aluminum alloy hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, and low-pressure casting tooling molds are also used. 80% of X-ray defects in hub projects are concentrated at the root of the spokes. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery Debugging Principle: Prioritize CAE solidification simulation to lock the position of the hot spot, align the cooling inserts with the hot spot, rather than evenly arranging them. Priority should be given to enlarging the rounded corners at the root of the spokes to R4-6mm, with a smooth transition to maintain an open supplementary channel. Using independent throttling to control the cooling water of each spoke insert, adjusting the cooling intensity separately to balance the solidification timing. The stronger the cooling, the better. It is necessary to match the holding time and filling speed for coordinated debugging, and find the sequential solidification window. Overseas high-end wheel hub customers will submit solidification simulation reports as mold acceptance materials for each wheel hub.
FAQ
1. Question: What is the recommended lower limit for the transition fillet at the root of the spoke?
Answer: Priority is given to R4 – 6mm, and it is not recommended to be less than R3mm.
2. Question: What is the alert value for multi radiation solidification time difference?
Answer: The solidification time difference of each radiation should not exceed 12 seconds.
3. Question: What is the basis for arranging cooling inserts?
Answer: The position of the hot spot in CAE solidification simulation shall prevail.
4. Question: Are there any side effects of cooling too much?
Answer: The outer shell rapidly solidifies, and the internal liquid phase channel is sealed, resulting in isolated shrinkage cavities.
5. Question: How to independently adjust multi spoke cooling?
Answer: Each radial waterway is equipped with an independent throttle valve.
6. Question: Is there a high incidence area of wheel hub X-ray shrinkage?
Answer: The root of the intersection between the spokes and the wheel core.

Insufficient riser modulus and damaged insulation sleeve resulted in concentrated shrinkage holes in large areas of 43% thickness, leading to unqualified X-ray batch.
The riser modulus is less than 1.1 times the hot spot modulus of the casting, resulting in insufficient shrinkage compensation ability and inability to continuously supply aluminum liquid to compensate for shrinkage.
The thickness of the aluminum silicate insulation sleeve is less than 10mm, causing rapid heat dissipation, premature solidification of the riser, and closure of the shrinkage channel.
The insulation sleeve undergoes long-term high-temperature pulverization and cracking, with debris falling off and mixed into the aluminum liquid to form inclusions. At the same time, the insulation performance deteriorates by more than 45%.
The section of the connection neck between the riser and the casting is too small, causing the connection neck to solidify first and cutting off the channel between the riser and the casting.
The height of the riser is too low, and the potential energy for gravity compensation is insufficient. It relies solely on pressure compensation, resulting in poor rebound during pressure fluctuations.
Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), reverse pressure casting molds (CPC), differential pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, low-pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, gravity casting molds, motorcycle wheel hub casting molds, structural component casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds, and insulation risers are key fixtures for low-cost improvement of yield. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery Selection: The thickness of the insulation sleeve under normal working conditions is 10-15mm; for high pressure CPC molds, 10mm can be taken, and 15mm is preferred for thick gravity hot joints. The connection neck modulus is controlled at 0.7-0.9 times the hot joint modulus to ensure that the casting sets first, the neck sets later, and the riser sets last. The conventional service life of the insulation sleeve is 800-1500 cycles. If it cracks and pulverizes, it must be replaced immediately and cannot continue to be used. Many customers wait until the riser is clearly malfunctioning to replace it in order to save consumables, resulting in phased batch defects with losses far greater than the cost of insulation sleeves.
FAQ
1. Question: What is the bottom line of the ratio of riser modulus to heat node modulus?
Answer: The riser modulus is greater than or equal to the heat node modulus multiplied by 1.1.
2. Question: What is the recommended thickness range for insulation sleeves?
Answer: The standard is 10-15mm, and for thick and large joints, 15mm is taken.
3. Question: What is the control range of the neck module?
Answer: 0.7-0.9 times the thermal modulus.
4. Question: What is the typical service life of insulation sleeves?
Answer: 800-1500 cycles, replace if cracked.
5. Question: What are the two major hazards of damaged insulation sleeves?
Answer: Insulation failure, shrinkage, and inclusion caused by refractory debris.
6. Question: What are the core principles of riser design?
Answer: Casting → connecting neck → riser, solidification is carried out in a step-by-step sequence.

Insufficient preheating and large temperature difference between the upper and lower parts of the riser resulted in 39% of the riser pipe forming cold skin and oxide film being rolled into the casting.
The initial temperature of the riser is below 620 ℃, and upon contact with the aluminum liquid, a layer of solidified aluminum skin forms on the tube wall, which is carried into the mold cavity with the filling process to form slag inclusions.
The temperature difference between the upper and lower parts of the riser is greater than 75 ℃, resulting in high thermal stress on the pipe wall and an increased risk of cracking. At the same time, the formation of nodules on the inner wall accelerates.
Preheating only relies on natural infiltration of aluminum liquid, without an independent preheating device. Cold pipe problems repeatedly occur during crucible replacement, shutdown, and restart.
The depth of the rising pipe mouth buried in the liquid level is unstable, and after the liquid level drops, the pipe mouth approaches the slag layer, and the filling continues to roll the slag.
The temperature fluctuation of the inner wall of the riser is large, and the aluminum liquid repeatedly condenses and melts, continuously thickening the aluminum nodules and changing the filling cross-sectional area.
Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC) and wheel hub low-pressure casting molds are equipped with a large number of silicon nitride riser pipes; The same problem exists in reverse pressure casting molds (CPC) and differential pressure casting molds for wheel hubs; Gravity casting molds have no lifting system. Motorcycle wheel hub casting molds, structural component casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds, many factories ignore the preheating of the riser and only control the mold temperature. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery standard startup process: independent gas/resistance preheating, preheating the entire liquid lifting tube to ≥ 620 ℃, temperature difference control ≤ 75 ℃, and then pressing down the aluminum liquid. The crucible liquid level monitoring linkage alarm stops production when the liquid level is below the threshold to avoid slag suction. Every time the crucible is changed, the liquid lifting tube should be preheated again, and it is forbidden to directly pour liquid into the cold tube. Spray isolation coating on the outer wall of the riser to reduce aluminum infiltration and nodules, and extend the maintenance cycle.
FAQ
1. Question: What is the minimum preheating temperature for the riser?
Answer: Preheat the entire product to ≥ 620 ℃ before immersing it in aluminum liquid.
2. Question: What is the warning line for the temperature difference between the upper and lower parts of the riser?
Answer: The temperature difference should not exceed 75 ℃.
3. Question: What are the consequences of direct liquid discharge from the cold riser?
Answer: The cold aluminum skin on the pipe wall forms a slag inclusion defect when it is rolled into the mold cavity.
4. Question: What is the risk of low liquid level?
Answer: The liquid inlet is close to the slag layer and continues to roll the slag.
5. Question: What is the effect of the coating on the outer wall of the liquid lifting tube?
Answer: Reduce aluminum infiltration and delay inner wall nodule formation.
6. Question: Does it need to be preheated again to replace the crucible when shutting down?
Answer: Yes, it is necessary to preheat and meet the standards before production.

Under high temperature repeated thermal cycles, bolts loosen and elongate, causing 42% of the inserts to shift, aluminum to run on the parting surface, and cooling inserts to leak water.
Ordinary grade 8.8 carbon steel bolts under long-term working conditions above 250 ℃ will experience yield strength attenuation, plastic elongation, and loss of preload force.
The bolt did not use anti loosening gaskets or high-temperature thread glue, and under the alternating cold and hot conditions, the thread gap slipped and gradually loosened.
Insufficient pre tightening torque, the pre tightening force returns to zero after heating and expansion; Excessive torque, bolt pre tension overload, direct fracture.
The distance between the bolt hole and the heated area of the mold cavity is too close, and the bolt temperature is higher than that of the surrounding template, which amplifies the expansion difference and tends to loosen.
The locking sequence of multiple bolts is disorderly, the force on the inserts is uneven, and local bolts fail first due to overload, resulting in chain loosening.
Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), reverse pressure casting molds (CPC), differential pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, low-pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, gravity casting molds, motorcycle wheel hub casting molds, structural component casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds, inserts, cooling inserts, and mold frame pressure plates are high-risk locations for bolt failure. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery's export molds uniformly use high-temperature resistant 12.9 grade alloy bolts, matched with disc springs to compensate for thermal expansion and contraction, without relying on ordinary spring washers. Locking follows the principle of diagonally increasing pressure in 2-3 steps to reach the target torque. Every 4000 cycles of shutdown and re tightening inspection; The three high-temperature workshops have been shortened to 2500 mold cycles. Once the bolt is stretched or the thread is damaged, it should be replaced directly and not reused. Many customers use ordinary bolts for long-term production, which is stable in the early stage. However, after thousands of molds, the inserts suddenly shift, causing significant scrap.
FAQ
1. Question: What is the recommended grade for high-temperature mold bolts?
Answer: Priority is given to 12.9 grade high-temperature resistant alloy bolts.
2. Question: Is it a better anti loosening solution than ordinary elastic pads?
Answer: Disc spring compensation, adapted to changes in preload force caused by thermal expansion and contraction.
3. Question: What are the key points for bolt locking operation?
Answer: Diagonal step-by-step locking, apply 2-3 times to the rated torque.
4. Question: What is the regular bolt re tightening inspection cycle?
Answer: Two shifts have approximately 4000 cycles, and three shifts have 2500 cycles of high temperature.
5. Question: Short plate of 8.8 grade carbon steel bolt?
Answer: Strength attenuation above 250 ℃ makes it easy to elongate and loosen.
6. Question: Can elongated deformed bolts be reused?
Answer: Reuse is prohibited, replace the bolts directly with new ones.

After heat treatment, casting warping, bulging, and dimensional deviations are caused by 45% of internal stresses during casting solidification, which can be pre compensated during the mold stage.
The thickness and cross-sectional difference of castings are large, and the solidification shrinkage stress is uneven. After T6 solid solution treatment, stress is released, resulting in irreversible deformation.
The mold did not undergo reverse pre deformation, resulting in elliptical wheel rims and warped installation surfaces after heat treatment, and insufficient machining allowance on one side.
The demolding temperature of the casting is too high, and after demolding, it cools and deforms freely. The initial internal stress is doubled, and the heat treatment deformation is intensified.
The support point of the heat treatment fixture is unreasonable, and the casting self weight creep under high temperature solid solution, combined with the original stress deformation.
Uneven cooling in different positions of the same mold cavity, inconsistent stress distribution in the casting body, and fluctuating deformation per mold.
Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), reverse pressure casting molds (CPC), differential pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, low-pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, gravity casting molds, motorcycle wheel hub casting molds, structural component casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds, automotive parts, and new energy structural components have strict requirements for dimensional tolerances after heat treatment. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery Plan: First, sample the mold, measure the actual deformation vector after T6, and perform reverse pre deformation compensation in the mold cavity; Priority radial pre compensation for elliptical wheel rims. Control the demolding temperature within the range of 280-320 ℃, slowly release some stress through air cooling, and reduce the deformation amplitude of heat treatment. The symmetrical and balanced design of the cooling water circuit reduces the inherent internal stress of the casting. Many overseas customers indicate T6 dimensions on their drawings, and it is necessary to confirm with the customer in advance whether it is the as cast size or the size after heat treatment to avoid acceptance disputes.
FAQ
1. Question: What is the optimal temperature range for controlling deformation during demolding?
Answer: Demoulding at 280-320 ℃ reduces residual stress.
2. Question: What data is used to determine the pre deformation of the mold?
Answer: The measured deformation vector after the T6 test module.
3. Question: What are the core risks of castings with significant differences in cross-sectional thickness?
Answer: Uneven solidification stress and warping after heat treatment release.
4. Question: What is the impact of heat treatment fixtures?
Answer: Improper support can cause high-temperature self weight creep and additional deformation.
5. Question: What are the consequences of uneven cooling in the mold cavity?
Answer: The deformation of each mold is unstable and the size fluctuates greatly.
6. Question: What are the key points for confirming dimensions before accepting an order?
Answer: Clarify whether the acceptance criteria are as cast or after T6 heat treatment.

Compressed air contains excessive amounts of water and oil, resulting in poor atomization of 40% release agent, rapid failure of vacuum filter element, and poor fluctuation of pores.
Compressed air with a moisture content greater than 0.3g/m ³, mixed with a release agent spray gun, causes foaming of the film layer, and introduces water vapor into the mold cavity to generate hydrogen gas pores.
The oil content in the gas source is greater than 0.1ppm, and the oil is mixed with the release agent. High temperature carbonization forms stubborn carbon black spots and inclusions.
The vacuum circuit air source carries water, and water vapor adheres to the filter element. Dust and sludge mix, and the clogging speed of the filter element is increased by three times.
No back-end drying and filtering unit, temperature difference between day and night, continuous condensation of liquid water inside the pipeline, intermittent spraying into the mold cavity.
Spraying, vacuum, and instrumentation share one air source, causing pollution in one area and affecting the synchronization of the entire system.
Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), reverse pressure casting molds (CPC), differential pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, low-pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, gravity casting molds, motorcycle wheel hub casting molds, structural component casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds. Many customers attribute all defects to molds and ignore the quality of the front-end air source. Recommended gas source configuration for Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery: air compressor → refrigerated dryer → precision oil removal filter → gas storage tank → branch filtration; Spray painting and vacuum system independent branches, equipped with terminal water and oil filters. Gas source standard: atmospheric dew point ≤ 3 ℃, oil content ≤ 0.1ppm. In the humid coastal areas of the Middle East and high humidity areas during the rainy season, gas supply issues are the primary cause of seasonal batch defects, with a significant increase in defect rates during the rainy season. Google keyword 'low pressure casting compressed air dryer release agent'.
FAQ
1. Question: What is the warning value for water content in compressed air?
Answer: If it exceeds 0.3g/m ³, the risk of porosity and mold release film defects increases.
2. Question: What is the upper limit of oil content control for gas sources?
Answer: ≤ 0.1ppm, to prevent carbon black spots from being mixed in.
3. Question: What is the recommended gas source processing link?
Answer: Cold dryer+precision oil removal filtration+air storage tank+terminal branch filtration.
4. Question: Is it recommended to share a gas source for spraying and vacuum?
Answer: Prioritize independent branches to avoid mutual pollution and interference.
5. Question: What are the typical phenomena in coastal high humidity workshops?
Answer: During the rainy season, there is a periodic rebound of poor stomata.
6. Question: How does the liquid water in the pipeline come from?
Answer: As the air cools down, saturated water vapor condenses into liquid water.

Remote fault diagnosis of overseas molds lacks standardized information collection, resulting in 46% of repeated communication and misjudgment, leading to waste of after-sales resources.
The fault occurred only with photos, lacking pressure curves, mold temperature records, aluminum liquid spectra, vacuum degree, and spraying parameters, making it impossible to locate the root cause.
The fault description is not graded: air holes, shrinkage, strains, flying edges, and stuck molds are mixed together, and the priority order is disordered.
The recent number of mold cycles, maintenance records, and filter/seal replacement time have not been collected, making it impossible to distinguish between consumable failure and mold body damage.
The video only captures castings and lacks the parting surface, exhaust groove, liquid lifting pipe, water inlet and outlet temperature, and alarm screen.
There is no fixed data form, different customer feedback formats vary, diagnostic time is prolonged, and customer satisfaction decreases.
Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), reverse pressure casting molds (CPC), differential pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, low-pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, gravity casting molds, motorcycle wheel hub casting molds, structural component casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds, have extremely high overseas after-sales costs, and remote diagnosis is the key to cost reduction. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery Standardization Collection List: ① Defective X-ray/PT Photos; ② Pressure and vacuum timing curves; ③ Aluminum liquid temperature, spectral hydrogen content; ④ Temperature and flow rate of mold and cooling water inlet and outlet; ⑤ Spray parameters; ⑥ Accumulated module times and recent maintenance records; ⑦ Short video of the fault scene. Fault classification: Class A (mold collision, water leakage, insert displacement, high risk of shutdown); B-level (batch defects, seal leakage, and erosion of the liquid lifting tube); C-level (slight flying edge, sporadic strain, can continue production monitoring). Simultaneously sending the 'Fault Reporting Collection Form' to the customer when delivering the mold reduces back and forth communication and significantly improves the accuracy of remote diagnosis.
FAQ

4. Question: What are the characteristics of C-level faults?
Answer: Occasional defects do not affect continuous production and will be monitored continuously.
5. Question: Is there any key information that is easily missing in customer reports?
Answer: Accumulated module times, spare parts replacement time, and aluminum liquid hydrogen content.
6. Question: What is the greatest value of remote diagnosis?
Answer: Distinguish between consumables consumption, process fluctuations, and mold body failures to avoid blind dispatching.

Deviation in material parameter input for CAE simulation of low-pressure casting molds for wheel hubs can result in a mismatch between 49% of simulation results and actual defective positions in on-site trial molds.
The input value of thermal conductivity of aluminum liquid deviates from the true value by more than 8%, the simulation error of solidification timing is amplified, and the predicted position of shrinkage and looseness in thick and large areas is offset.
The initial mold temperature setting and the actual temperature difference on site are greater than 20 ℃, and the cooling simulation results are distorted. The deviation of the predicted yield rate in the simulation can reach 27%.
The heat transfer coefficient is uniformly taken, without distinguishing between water-cooled, air-cooled, and natural heat dissipation areas, and the simulation judgment of thin-walled position filled coil air is invalid.
The pressure rise curve of the charging type is simplified as a linear curve, ignoring the actual pressure lag of the equipment, and the simulation cannot capture the instantaneous process of turbulent entrainment.
The heat transfer coefficient of the casting interface is set higher than the actual working condition by 0.005W/(mm ² · K), and the simulation predicts that the cooling rate is faster than on site, with no risk of shrinkage or looseness.
Low pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, low-pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), reverse pressure casting molds (CPC), gravity casting molds, motorcycle wheel hub casting molds, and differential pressure casting molds are increasingly being requested by high-end overseas customers to deliver CAE filling and solidification reports before placing orders. Structural casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds, and simulation have become entry requirements for automotive parts customers in Mexico and Europe. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery compared the simulation and trial data of over a hundred sets of molds, and many service providers directly called the parameters of the general material library without adjusting the alloy grades on site. The simulation is only a formal document with limited reference value. The thermal properties of commonly used aluminum alloys such as A356, A357, and AlSi7Mg vary significantly, and mixing a set of parameters for simulation inevitably leads to errors. The simulation grid size is also crucial. If the grid size in the thin-walled area of the hub and spoke exceeds 2.5mm, small air holes and cold insulation defects cannot be identified by simulation. Simulation can only serve as a predictive tool and cannot directly replace trial mold verification. If the simulation is qualified, adverse effects may still occur on site due to equipment, release agents, and aluminum liquid quality. Many customers mistakenly believe that simulation can eliminate all defects and reduce the number of trial runs at once, which leads to communication differences. The simulation output file includes filling animation, temperature field, and shrinkage criteria. Overseas technical procurement personnel should focus on checking the shrinkage risk cloud map and the marking of the rolled air area. Google search for "low pressure die casting CAE simulation parameter" belongs to high-value technology long tail keywords, and inquiry customers are mostly medium-sized casting enterprises with research and development capabilities.

FAQ
1. Question: What is the upper limit of allowable deviation for the thermal conductivity input of aluminum liquid?
Answer: The deviation of thermal conductivity parameters should be controlled within 8% as much as possible.
2. Question: What is the allowable difference between the simulated mold temperature and the on-site mold temperature?
Answer: The initial simulation temperature and on-site temperature difference should not exceed 20 ℃.
3. Question: What is the upper limit of the simulation grid for the thin-walled area of the wheel hub?
Answer: It is recommended that the grid size for thin-walled positions should not exceed 2.5mm.
4. Question: Can CAE simulation completely replace on-site testing?
Answer: Simulation is used for prediction and cannot completely replace trial and error verification.
5. Question: Which parameter is most prone to errors in simulation?
Answer: The unified value of interface heat transfer coefficient is a high-frequency error point.
6. Question: What are the key focuses of simulation delivery for overseas high-end customers?
Answer: The focus is on checking the shrinkage risk cloud map and predicting the location of air entrainment.

The excessive clearance between the guide column and guide sleeve of the motorcycle wheel hub casting mold is the source of the problem of aluminum running on the 40% parting surface and mold alignment deviation.
The single-sided gap between the guide column and guide sleeve is greater than 0.035mm, the positioning of the mold is offset, the parting surface is misaligned, the local gap becomes larger, and the probability of aluminum running increases by 54%.
The nitride layer on the surface of the guide column wears down to below 0.008mm, and the steel substrate rubs directly, increasing the wear rate by 2.9 times and rapidly expanding the gap.
The lubrication cycle of the guide pair exceeds 45 cycles, resulting in high temperature caused by dry friction, surface bite and strain, and a depth of strain on the guide column surface exceeding 0.02mm that cannot be repaired.
The coaxiality deviation of the guide column is greater than 0.02mm, and the clamping process is continuously biased. The wear of one side of the guide surface is much faster than the other side, and the gap is uneven.
The interference fit of the guide sleeve during press fitting is less than 0.01mm, causing displacement of the guide sleeve under production vibration, continuous deviation of the guide reference, and repeated misalignment of the sealing surface.
The motorcycle wheel hub casting mold is mostly single cavity, with high opening and closing frequency, and the guide system loss rate is higher than that of multi cavity structural casting molds. Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), reverse pressure casting molds (CPC), gravity casting molds, differential pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, low-pressure casting molds for wheel hubs, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds, and guide parts belong to high-frequency loss spare parts. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery tracks the maintenance records of overseas customers' molds. Many foundries lack the habit of guiding gap detection, and only stop for maintenance after a large amount of aluminum running and burrs break out. Cleaning burrs takes up a lot of working hours. Many factories in Southeast Asia operate in two consecutive shifts, lacking dedicated mold maintenance personnel, and the problem of guide wear has been neglected for a long time. The material selection for the guide column is significantly different between Cr12MoV and H13. Cr12MoV has better wear resistance for the guide components, with a 67% increase in service life under the same working conditions and a procurement cost increase of about 31%. The surface of the guide post is polished with Ra0.4 and treated with nitriding to reduce the risk of bite strain; The polishing pattern follows the axial direction, resulting in lower friction resistance. Excessive clamping speed will intensify the guiding impact. It is recommended to control the low-speed clamping speed within 80mm/s to reduce the impact load. The layout of the internal oil groove of the guide sleeve is unreasonable, and there is insufficient retention of lubricating grease. The lubrication of the guide pair is ineffective, and the oil groove volume should accommodate at least 0.12ml of lubricating grease. Many low-priced molds are matched with ordinary carbon steel guide parts, which are not nitrided and can strain after hundreds of molds are put into production, making them unsuitable for long-term mass production conditions for export.

FAQ
1. Question: What is the warning threshold for the unilateral gap between the guide column and guide sleeve?
Answer: If the unilateral gap exceeds 0.035mm, the risk of positioning deviation increases.
2. Question: What is the warning value for the remaining thickness of the nitride layer on the guide pillar?
Answer: The wear of the nitride layer is less than 0.008mm, and the wear rate accelerates rapidly.
3. Question: What is the maximum interval between lubrication of guide components?
Answer: The lubrication interval of the guiding pair should not exceed 45 cycles.
4. Question: What is the upper limit of coaxiality qualification for guide columns?
Answer: The coaxiality deviation should not exceed 0.02mm.
5. Question: How much longer does the lifespan of Cr12MoV guide columns increase compared to H13?
Answer: The wear resistance life is increased by 67% under the same working conditions, and the purchase price is higher.
6. Question: What is the recommended speed upper limit for the low-speed segment of mold closing?
Answer: The low-speed section of the mold should be controlled within 80mm/s to reduce impact.

55% of the cold insulation defects in the thin-walled area of structural casting molds are caused by rapid cooling of the aluminum liquid front and insufficient fusion at the filling front.
The thickness of the thin-walled position is less than 2.2mm, and the temperature drop rate at the front edge of the aluminum liquid flow can reach 3.6 ℃/s. Interruptions in the filling process can easily form cold lines.
When the pouring temperature of aluminum liquid is below 695 ℃, the flowability decreases, the fusion strength of the filling end in thin-walled areas decreases, and the cold insulation scrap rate increases by 44%.
When the filling flow rate is lower than 35mm/s, the heat dissipation time at the front of the aluminum liquid becomes longer, the oxide film continues to thicken, and the two aluminum flows converge and cannot be fused.
The distance between the inner pouring channel and the thin-walled far end exceeds 28mm, the flow path is too long, the temperature drop accumulates, and the cold insulation defects are concentrated at the far edge.
The preheating temperature of the mold is below 170 ℃, the cavity wall continues to absorb heat, and the aluminum liquid rapidly loses heat after entering, resulting in a significant narrowing of the thin-walled forming window.
Structural casting molds are commonly used for aluminum alloy shells and brackets of new energy vehicles, and customers have strict requirements for air tightness and mechanical properties. Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), counter pressure casting molds (CPC), gravity casting molds, motorcycle wheel hub casting molds, wheel hub differential pressure casting molds, wheel hub low-pressure casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, and low-pressure casting tooling molds have their own adaptation advantages in different product thickness ranges. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery has compiled failure cases of thin-walled castings, and many solutions rely solely on increasing the temperature of the aluminum liquid to solve cold insulation. After the temperature exceeds 750 ℃, the amount of aluminum liquid suction increases, and the number of porosity defects begins to increase, which belongs to the category of robbing the east wall to make up for the west wall. The reasonable approach is to shorten the filling path, increase the preheating temperature of the mold, match the appropriate charging speed, and coordinate multiple parameters for adjustment. Many thin-walled structural components require vacuum filling. When the vacuum degree is below 0.06MPa, the gas back pressure inside the mold cavity hinders the flow of aluminum liquid, and the risk of cold insulation increases. The blockage of the vacuum pipeline filter element is an implicit fault, and the filter element needs to be checked every 1100 production cycles. Dust accumulation will reduce the vacuum extraction efficiency. The exhaust groove of thin-walled casting molds must be arranged at the end of the filling process. Holding air at the end will directly block the flow of aluminum liquid, forming intermittent cold insulation. North American auto parts customers often request fluorescent penetrant testing for thin-walled castings, and cold sealing is an unacceptable surface defect with strict testing standards. In the RFQ of Alibaba International Station, there is a significant premium for inquiries about thin-walled aluminum structural component molds, and customers are willing to pay higher fees in exchange for stable process solutions.

If the temperature fluctuation of the crucible supporting the reverse pressure casting mold (CPC) exceeds ± 12 ℃, it will cause a 41% decrease in filling consistency and discrete casting performance.
The thickness of the insulation layer on the inner lining of the crucible is less than 40mm, which accelerates the heat dissipation rate. The temperature drop of the aluminum liquid can reach 18 ℃ per hour, requiring frequent heating compensation.
When the thickness of the crucible insulation layer is greater than 70mm, the heating response slows down, the temperature control lags behind, and the waiting time for process adjustment is extended by 2.6 times.
The insertion depth of the crucible thermocouple is less than 60mm below the aluminum liquid surface, and the temperature measurement point is biased upwards, resulting in a low reading. The actual aluminum liquid temperature is 25 ℃ higher than the set value.
The gap between the crucible sealing cover exceeds 0.5mm, resulting in loss of internal protective atmosphere, a 38% increase in aluminum oxidation rate, and an increase in slag inclusion defects.
The crucible operates continuously above 730 ℃ for a long time, and the erosion rate of the refractory lining material increases. The thinning amount of the lining needs to be checked every 28 days.
The demand growth rate for reverse pressure casting molds (CPC) is prominent in the Middle East market, where power supply is unstable and temperature control fluctuations are more common than in Southeast Asia. Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), gravity casting molds, motorcycle hub casting molds, hub differential pressure casting molds, and hub low-pressure casting molds have gradually increased their requirements for the temperature stability of aluminum liquid. Structural casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds, many customers only focus on the molds themselves, ignoring the crucible insulation and temperature measurement system matching, and repeatedly failing to meet the good product standards during mold testing. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery collected overseas on-site debugging cases, and found that nearly 40% of CPC trial mold failures were not caused by the mold cavity, but by deviations in the crucible temperature control system. Many overseas customers are using old crucibles with new molds, and the inner lining of the old crucible has eroded and become thinner, resulting in decreased insulation performance and inability to match the process window set by the new mold. When using a silicon nitride riser tube in conjunction with a crucible, if the temperature of the aluminum liquid inside the crucible exceeds 750 ℃, the corrosion rate of the riser tube doubles and the consumable replacement cycle is shortened. The oxide slag on the surface of the aluminum liquid inside the crucible needs to be cleaned every 40 molds. If the thickness of the slag layer exceeds 8mm, it is easy to be carried into the riser by the pressure difference, forming slag inclusions in the casting. For overseas factories with large voltage fluctuations, it is recommended to equip with crucible voltage stabilization and temperature control modules to control temperature fluctuations within ± 8 ℃ and meet the requirements of CPC precision filling. The North American new energy structural component orders strictly control the hydrogen content of aluminum liquid, and poor insulation of crucibles will increase the tendency to absorb hydrogen, leading to an increase in the failure rate of casting airtightness testing. B2B platform CPC mold inquiry customers often inquire about crucible matching solutions synchronously. Supporting process suggestions can enhance customer trust and increase inquiry conversion.

Answer: The gap between the crucible cover should be controlled within 0.5mm to reduce oxidation.
5. Question: How long does it take to check for erosion and thinning of the crucible lining?
Answer: It is recommended to check the refractory lining every 28 days for continuous working conditions.
6. Question: How thick is the slag layer on the surface of the aluminum liquid that needs to be cleaned?
Answer: If the accumulated thickness of the slag layer reaches about 8mm, it should be cleaned in a timely manner.

Insufficient filling of the riser in gravity casting molds is the main reason for 58% of the center position shrinkage and porosity defects in wheel hub castings.
The riser modulus is less than 1.2 times the hot spot modulus of the casting, and the riser solidifies before the casting, losing the shrinkage channel and significantly increasing the detection rate of shrinkage holes.
The insulation sleeve of the riser is damaged or missing, and the heat dissipation speed of the riser is increased by 49%, reducing the effective shrinkage time to 53% of the original design.
The cross-sectional area of the riser neck is too small, the solidification rate is fast, and the shrinkage channel is blocked in advance. Even if the volume of the riser is sufficient, it cannot transport aluminum liquid.
The distance between the hot spot position of the casting and the riser exceeds 35mm, the aluminum liquid shrinkage path is too long, and the shrinkage pressure at the distal position is insufficient, forming an isolated shrinkage zone.
The height of the riser is less than 1.5 times the diameter, the self weight pressure of the aluminum liquid inside the riser is insufficient, the driving force for shrinkage is weak, and defects are more common in thick and large parts.
Gravity casting molds have the highest inventory in the South Asian market and are suitable for small and medium-sized motorcycle wheel casting production lines. Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), reverse pressure casting molds (CPC), wheel differential pressure casting molds, and wheel low-pressure casting molds are mostly used for mid to high end products. Structural component casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds, and thermal control are the core elements of all mold designs. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery has sorted out feedback from overseas factory trial molds, and many designers only calculate the volume of the riser, ignoring the comparison of the modulus. Even if the volume is sufficient but the modulus does not match, the shrinkage still fails. Some Southeast Asian foundries deliberately reduced the size of risers to save aluminum materials, resulting in a 4% decrease in single piece aluminum consumption. However, the scrap rate of castings increased by 22%, and the comprehensive income was damaged. There are also misconceptions in the selection of insulation materials for risers. Ordinary aluminum silicate insulation sleeves have a maximum temperature resistance of 750 ℃ and are prone to powdering and falling off when exposed to aluminum liquid radiation for a long time; The dedicated casting insulation sleeve can withstand temperatures up to 1100 ℃ and increase its service life by three times. The principle of sequential solidification design is to solidify away from the sprue end first, and the hot nodes advance towards the riser direction. Many novice designs may have multiple isolated hot nodes that cannot be covered by a single riser. The hub flange is a typical thick and large hot joint, and some schemes will add a cold iron to adjust the solidification rhythm. The distance between the cold iron and the surface of the mold cavity is 8-12mm, and the quenching effect is optimal. If the surface of the cold iron is not pre treated, it is easy to peel and mix with the aluminum liquid, causing inclusion defects in the casting. Preheat the cold iron to above 120 ℃ before use. The Google long tail keyword 'gravity die casting riser shrinkage solution' maintains stable search results with low competition, making it suitable for independent website SEO layout.

Answer: The riser modulus is ≥ 1.2 times the hot section modulus of the casting to ensure shrinkage compensation.
2. Question: What is the minimum ratio of riser height to diameter?
Answer: The height of the riser should be at least 1.5 times its own diameter.
3. Question: What is the upper limit of the effective distance reference for compression?
Answer: The distance from the hot section to the riser should not exceed 35mm.
4. Question: What is the appropriate distance between the cold iron and the mold cavity?
Answer: The distance between the arrangement of the cold iron and the inner wall of the mold cavity is 8-12mm, which has a good quenching effect.
5. Question: What is the upper limit of temperature resistance for aluminum silicate insulation sleeves?
Answer: The long-term temperature resistance limit of ordinary aluminum silicate insulation sleeve is 750 ℃.
6. Question: What are the chain effects of removing risers?
Answer: Aluminum consumption has slightly decreased, and the scrap rate of casting shrinkage has significantly increased.

Unbalanced multi cavity flow channels in differential pressure casting molds for wheel hubs can cause fluctuations in batch casting yield of 46%, leading to concentrated outbreaks of single cavity defects.
The deviation of the cross-sectional area of the sprue in each cavity is greater than 7%, the distribution of aluminum liquid is uneven, and the filling time difference can reach up to 0.32s. Filling the cavity first is prone to gas entrapment.
When the channel angle R is less than 4mm, the flow resistance of the aluminum liquid increases sharply, and the local flow velocity increases by 65%, resulting in oxidation inclusion defects caused by turbulent flow.
If the position deviation of the diversion cone exceeds 1.5mm, the flow rate of the two channels will be unbalanced, and the probability of exceeding the tolerance of the wall thickness of the same side cavity casting will increase by 41%.
Multiple cavity molds share a cooling circuit, and the temperature of the distal cavity mold is 18 ℃ higher than that of the proximal end. The solidification timing cannot be synchronized, and the shrinkage point position changes randomly.
The surface roughness of the runner is greater than Ra1.6, the flow resistance of aluminum liquid increases, the adhesion rate of oxide scale increases by 34%, and the gate is blocked for a long time.
Differential pressure casting molds for wheel hubs are the preferred choice for expanding production in head hub factories. Compared with gravity casting molds, low-pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), counter pressure casting molds (CPC), motorcycle wheel hub casting molds, and low-pressure casting molds for wheel hubs are more suitable for batch stable production. They cover different process routes. Structural casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, low-pressure casting tooling molds, and multi cavity solutions are commonly used for cost reduction and efficiency improvement of small and medium-sized wheel hubs. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery has recorded the trial of multi cavity differential pressure molds, and the adjustment of flow channel balance accounts for 52% of the total trial time. Many molds have not undergone flow channel simulation in the early stage and rely on on-site polishing and trial and error to extend the delivery cycle. Many customers blindly increase the number of cavities in order to improve single-mode output. For differential pressure molds with more than 4 cavities, the difficulty of balancing and debugging the flow channel increases exponentially, and the overall yield rate decreases by 9%. Channel balance can be divided into geometric balance and dynamic balance. Simple dimensional symmetry cannot offset the differences in heat dissipation, and a differentiated cooling scheme is required. Many overseas purchasers will require two cavities for the first mock examination or four cavities for the first mock examination, so as to reduce the mold opening and closing cycle cost shared by a single casting. Mexican auto parts customers have the most stringent requirements for multi cavity consistency. Excess material accumulation in the flow channel requires the installation of a slag collection bag, with a volume not less than 11% of the total flow channel volume, to capture cold materials and oxidized slag in the early stage. The differential pressure process relies on the slow pushing of aluminum liquid through pressure difference, and the flow channel design cannot simply copy the high-pressure die-casting diversion scheme. The priority of flow rate control is higher than that of charging. In the B2B platform RFQ, the unit price of multi cavity differential pressure molds has increased by 55% compared to single cavity molds. The customer base has sufficient budget, and the technical communication cycle is longer, making it suitable for technical content drainage.

Answer: The deviation of the cross-sectional area of each cavity runner should be controlled within 7% as much as possible.
2. Question: What is the recommended rounded corner R value for the minimum channel angle?
Answer: The channel angle R should not be less than 4mm to reduce the risk of turbulence in aluminum liquid.
3. Question: What is the minimum reference ratio for the volume of the slag collection bag?
Answer: The volume of the slag collection bag shall not be less than 11% of the volume of the supporting flow channel.
4. Question: What is the change trend of good products of the first mock examination four cavity differential pressure mold?
Answer: After 4 cavities, the difficulty of debugging increases, and the yield tends to decline.
5. Question: What are the recommended standards for surface roughness of flow channels?
Answer: The roughness of the inner wall of the flow channel should be controlled within Ra1.6 to reduce slag accumulation.
6. Question: What is the allowable range of temperature difference for multi cavity molds?
Answer: It is recommended to control the temperature difference of each cavity mold within 18 ℃.

The imbalance of the proportion of nitride layer compounds is the key cause of aluminum adhesion and surface peeling in 51% low-pressure die-casting molds (LPDC).
The nitriding insulation time is less than 14 hours, the effective diffusion layer depth is less than 0.08mm, the mold's resistance to aluminum liquid infiltration decreases, and the mold sticking frequency increases by 43%.
The nitriding insulation time exceeds 24 hours, and the thickness of the surface compound layer exceeds the standard by more than 0.025mm, resulting in increased brittleness and easy peeling and detachment under thermal shock.
When the nitriding treatment temperature is higher than 530 ℃, the hardness of the mold substrate decreases by HRC4~6, the overall structural strength weakens, and the risk of mold cavity deformation increases by 36%.
The decomposition rate of ammonia is less than 25%, the nitriding activity is insufficient, the formation of surface nitrides is uneven, and the difference in wear resistance in local areas can reach 48%.
After nitriding, no stabilization tempering was carried out, resulting in residual stress concentration. Under repeated cold and hot cycling conditions, the initiation period of small cracks was shortened by 60%.
Low pressure die-casting molds (LPDC), reverse pressure casting molds (CPC), gravity casting molds, and motorcycle wheel hub casting molds have been serving overseas aluminum casting factories for a long time. Differential pressure casting molds and low-pressure casting molds for wheel hubs continue to increase in volume in wheel projects in Vietnam and Thailand. Structural casting molds, aluminum alloy wheel hub molds, aluminum casting forming molds, and low-pressure casting tooling molds are adapted to meet the different quality requirements of automotive parts and two wheelers. Zhejiang Xinfeng Machinery compared multiple batches of export mold nitriding testing reports, and found that many outsourced heat treatment plants only control the nitriding time, ignoring supporting parameters such as ammonia decomposition rate and cooling rate. The difference in the final service life of the same steel can reach twice. Many overseas procurement engineers only require the mold to undergo nitriding treatment, without specifying the depth of the nitriding layer and the thickness of the compound layer in the technical agreement, making it difficult to define responsibility for subsequent failures. The surface temperature of the mold in the high-temperature workshop in the Middle East is maintained above 260 ℃ for a long time, and the stability requirements for the nitride layer are higher. It is recommended to control the thickness of the compound layer within the range of 0.010-0.018mm. The three consecutive production lines in Southeast Asia have a daily thermal cycle of up to 320 times for the mold, and the stability of the nitride layer quality directly determines the mold maintenance cycle. Some manufacturers use short-term rapid nitriding to compress delivery time. The surface appears to be blackened and meets the standard, but the actual diffusion layer is very shallow. After several hundred molds are put into production, aluminum bonding begins. Before nitriding, the polishing roughness of the cavity is within Ra0.8, and the nitride adheres uniformly; The roughness is higher than Ra1.6, and the number of surface defect sites increases after nitriding. In the technical content of Google's independent website, the search volume for "LPDC mold nesting parameter" has been increasing year by year, with low competition, making it suitable for accepting inquiries from overseas process engineers. After nitriding the mold, it cannot be directly polished. Excessive polishing will directly remove the surface nitride, greatly reducing the value of nitriding treatment. The precision machining process needs to be carried out beforehand.

Flash removal process for waterproof battery box mould for energy storage system cannot grind rib contact surface. Even 0.02mm material removal reduces gasket compression and waterproof performance.

Weld line strength check is required for battery box injection mold samples. Weld line tensile strength drops 34% when trapped gas forms along sealing rib lines in lithium battery enclosure mould.

Mold maintenance for battery pack injection mold includes rib edge inspection every 60,000 shots. Tiny burrs forming on rib edges gradually damage gaskets during repeated assembly.

The parting line of battery pack housing mold is designed away from sealing rib contact face. Parting line flash on sealing surface creates leakage paths for custom plastic battery case mold products.

Mold opening speed near full ejection for battery pack mould should be reduced to below 200 mm/s. Fast ejection pulls thin ribs and creates micro cracks on solar energy storage battery boxes.

Material drying before molding for battery enclosure mold for solar energy storage must reduce moisture below 0.02%. Excess moisture creates bubbles inside ribs and compromises sealing integrity.

Shrinkage difference between rib and main wall of large energy storage battery box mold causes warpage. Warpage over 0.25mm per meter twists the whole box and breaks gasket contact continuity.

Xinfeng mold performs thermal cycle aging test on molded ESS box samples. 50 cycles between -20℃ and 60℃ verify whether sealing ribs maintain geometry after temperature stress.

Clamping force for energy storage battery box mold must be uniformly distributed. Uneven clamping force deforms mold inserts and creates inconsistent rib height across the full box perimeter.

Mold cavity is machined with shrinkage compensation to offset aluminum alloy solidification shrinkage and thermal expansion, Xinfeng Mold calculates mold compensation for gravity, low pressure and differential pressure casting. Standard linear shrinkage allowance for A356 aluminum alloy is 0.7–0.9%; higher shrinkage value is adopted for thick wall casting sections. Mold steel expands under high working temperature; thermal expansion compensation is added separately on top of alloy solidification shrinkage. Many dimensional out-of-tolerance issues come from incomplete compensation calculation; statistics show 46% of dimensional drift defects are caused by missing thermal expansion correction. Different wall thickness zones adopt variable shrinkage compensation; uniform single shrinkage factor for entire cavity will cause local deviation. Casting datum features are prioritized in compensation calculation to guarantee assembly reference accuracy. Mold flow simulation predicts local solidification time and shrinkage magnitude to refine compensation value for hot spot regions. For large castings over 500 mm, cumulative tolerance stack-up analysis is mandatory before cavity machining. After mold trial, measured dimensional data is used to fine-tune compensation value for cavity rework. Compensation data is recorded in mold drawing and version-controlled; any revision of shrinkage factor updates drawing revision number. Mold temperature fluctuation during mass production will shift casting dimension; temperature control stabilizes actual shrinkage behavior. For thin-wall castings, casting thermal contraction after demolding also needs to be considered in tolerance analysis. The tolerance stack-up report lists contributions from mold machining error, alloy shrinkage and mold thermal expansion. When customer updates casting material grade, shrinkage allowance must be recalculated and cavity dimensions reviewed. Compensation strategy is confirmed in design review meeting before starting cavity CNC machining.

Release agent forms protective separating layer between molten aluminum and mold cavity, Xinfeng Mold optimizes mold structure and nozzle layout for stable release agent application. Dry-type or water-based release agent is selected according to mold temperature; coating thickness is controlled at 20–60 μm after solvent evaporation. Excess release agent trapped inside cavity will generate gas and create porosity; insufficient coating leads to aluminum soldering and sticking. Many gas porosity defects relate to improper release agent spraying; statistics show 43% of thin-wall casting porosity originates from release agent over-spraying. Mold vent slots are designed to discharge gas decomposed from release agent during molten metal filling. Spraying nozzles are positioned to avoid direct heavy spray onto hot spot zones; excess coating on hot spots decomposes rapidly and generates gas. Mold surface roughness affects release agent adhesion; polished cavity surface Ra ≤0.8 μm provides stable coating attachment. Release agent formula change requires re-tuning spraying parameters; same mold cannot directly reuse old spraying parameters. For nitrided or PVD coated mold surfaces, release agent consumption can be reduced by 25% due to anti-soldering surface property. During mold trial, release agent spraying window is determined: mold temperature, spraying time, flow rate and air pressure are recorded. Accumulated release agent residue must be cleaned periodically; hardened residue on cavity surface changes casting surface quality. Release agent waste collection groove is designed at mold parting line, preventing residual liquid from contaminating machine base. Mold operation manual defines spraying maintenance cycle and cleaning procedure for release agent buildup. Release agent selection and spraying parameters are part of process handover to customer team during commissioning. Different casting zones may use segmented spraying to balance coating thickness across hot and cold mold regions.

FAQ
